After a strong tournament run, Legacy finishes 2nd place in the U16 division, earning silver after a hard-fought matchup against Attack (63–40). The final score doesn’t tell the full story, this group battled every possession, stayed connected, and competed the right way from start to finish.
Throughout the weekend, Legacy 2010 showed depth, resilience, and a commitment to team basketball. They didn’t rely on one player—they relied on each other. That’s what got them to the final.
Silver isn’t the end goal…but it’s proof of progress.
This team walked into Calgary and left with hardware… and more importantly, a standard.
The message is clear: they’re close.
And if this weekend is any indication, this group isn’t done yet.
A strong tournament run comes to a close in the semifinals, with Legacy falling 59–51 to CYDC Elite HS–Taylor. But this one? It was tighter than the final score shows.
Late in the game, Legacy had it down to just three points, right there, within reach. Execution, toughness, belief… it was all on display. As the clock wound down, the team had to press, foul, and take chances…but that’s the reality of competing at this level.
This group didn’t back down. They battled.
Possession after possession, they showed resilience, discipline, and a willingness to fight through adversity. The kind of performance that doesn’t just build players…it builds teams.
No hardware this time, but make no mistake, this was a statement weekend.
Legacy 2009 proved they belong.
